Cailey's Mask

Kaymayla
This mask is originated from Egypt. On full moons people came together and wore this mask for they believed it creates beauty. It is said that one night a beautiful young girl was walking down a long and narrow street it was a full moon. She then found a bucket of liquid gold about 3 feet ahead as she bent down to look at it a wind picked up and the bucket dumped and the gold splashed onto her face. Before she new it she fell into a deep sleep and awoke the next morning. The gold had dried and her make up had gone threw. When she removed the mask people noticed she was glowing and shinning. She became even more beautiful and people wanted to glow as well so it became a tradition
long ago to wear this mask on a full moon night.

Texture Project

This texture project was great for learning about making your art more real looking and to have a more interesting look.

facial sketch

I started off doing an add out of a magazine of a model. I found that it was hard to sketch her. There were no natural characteristics to her there where no wrinkles or beauty spots which made it hard to draw her because the project was sketching and showing value not drawing straight lines. I found a picture of Albert Einstein and I found it easier to sketch because there's a naturalness about him that lets me to be able to sketch more freely.

Value and Form

Shading to show value is harder then it looks, some people assume that it's easy to make something look 3D and real. It takes tons of practice and practice to even get it to look a little bit like a 3D shape i learned a lot doing this project.

Geometric Organic Project

I chose to draw things that literally mean organic and geometric to me,because when I think of organic I think of nature, natural shapes, and living things. When I think of geometric I think of constricted straight lines, man made, and unreal.I personally thought these pictures best represented organic and geometric for me.

What is a line?

Everything is made up of and out of lines. There are many types of lines.depending on the width, texture, and direction they create many different types of feelings, and expressions. For example a curly line might represent happieness or a zig zag line might represent anger. There are five different basic and essentil kinds of lines they are virticle, horizintal, diagonal, zig zag,and curved.A line is a very important thing that we see every day but were not always gratful for them, when they're really important for so many reasons.
